Terms of use

Last updated October 29, 2026

These terms cover your use of Nutrient Numbers, a free calculator from Nutrient Health and Fitness. By using it, you agree to them.

General estimates, not medical advice

Nutrient Numbers gives general estimates of calorie and macronutrient needs for healthy adults, using published equations and research. It is not medical advice, it does not assess any health condition, and it is not a substitute for care you may need. Any equation can be off by 10% or more for one person, so use the numbers as a starting point and adjust them by how your body actually responds.

Who should not rely on it

  • Anyone under 18.
  • Anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Anyone with a condition affected by what or how much they eat, such as kidney disease or diabetes, without professional input.

Your choices are yours

You decide how to use the numbers. You are responsible for your own eating and exercise, and for checking that a change is right for you before you make it.

No promises about results

The calculator is provided as it is. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we do not promise any particular result, that it will always be available, or that it is free of errors. To the fullest extent the law allows, Nutrient Health and Fitness is not liable for any loss or harm that comes from using it.

Our content

We've created this because we know not everyone wants one-on-one coaching, but we still want to help as many people as possible reach their goals. The app's design, text, and code belong to Nutrient Health and Fitness. You are welcome to use the calculator for yourself and to share your results.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, USA.
